I am so lucky to get to experience first hand the growth of so many families like this one. It seems just like yesterday that we were doing Jessica’s maternity photos, which may have included running around a winery in lingerie 🙂 and now we are taking Maverick’s first birthday photos, I can’t even believe it!
This little guy had a serious side, as many babies do when they see a giant camera, but daddy’s scruff was able to break the ice and we got some amazing photos! I love his little teeth and wispy strands of hair and his very honest reaction to how he feels about cake… Babies either love it or hate it, Mav was definitely not a fan (which is more common than you might think). Either way, this session captured his the essence of who is is today and I love that!
I never get tired of hearing how my clients met and fell in love. Each story is a reminder that you can meet the person you are meant to spend your life with anywhere in the world and that there are no rules when it comes to love. Well, maybe there are rules in some cases but rules were made to be broken, right?
Meet Lucas and Kendra for instance, who fell in love stationed in Okinawa, Japan, while serving our country. A month after they first met they went out with some friends and as the night went on, they both felt a spark igniting. They spent the entire night conversing about life. Hours passed and eventually the sun was rising and they were still deep into conversation; Kendra says she fell in love with Lucas that night and has never stopped loving him. They wed about a year and a half later in Japan, but wanted to have a ceremony with their closest friends and family, which led us to this day in beautiful Temecula, CA.
Lucas and Kendra, we admire your love and appreciate your service to this country. Thank you for letting us celebrate this day with you!
We spent another beautiful day at Wedgewood Fallbrook as Seth and Theresa said “I do!” On this day, family from all over came to celebrate this young love and can I just say, the East Coasters know how to party! Everyone was on the dance floor including Theresa and her adorable baby bump! DJ George set the tone of the reception with good music and beautiful uplighting (if you are getting hitched here, ask for George)! Though the day came and went rather quickly, it was another beautiful wedding for the books and we can’t wait to see what life has in store for Seth and Theresa. We wish you all the best and can’t wait to see photos of the next love of your life, baby Sean! Congratulations!
Up until four days before their wedding, Nate and Lenore didn’t plan on having a photographer (I know, I was shocked too), but with a wedding this amazing I’m so glad they changed their mind! I grew up with Lenore in the sticks of La Cresta. It seems like a lifetime ago we were riding the bus together and having sleepovers, and now we are all grown up with babies and husbands. Life sure does go by quickly.
Nate and Lenore wed at one of my favorite venues, Wedgewood Fallbrook. This Spanish style venue is located at a golf course and is always beautiful regardless of the season. We love shooting here! Lenore’s beautiful mermaid fitted gown and hints of plum and silver were truly beautiful together… I may be a bit biased because those were my wedding colors too. The day seemed to come and go rather quickly but I saw a love in Nate and Lenore’s eyes that will last a lifetime! Congratulations you two, now your family is complete (well, maybe one or two more babies if Nate gets his way).
